On this #TolkienThursday, we’re still at The Argonath, under attack by Orcs. From the ToyBiz Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring line, we have the valiant warrior Boromir!

This Boromir figure “with Battle Attack Action” was released in a two-pack with Lurtz alongside the first two waves in the Fellowship of the Ring line, and was the first Lord of the Rings action figure I owned.

I thought the likeness was spot-on for Sean Bean and still prefer this figure to the super poseable version released later in the line. A large button on the figure’s back works well to turn the head and move the arms, and is hidden when wearing the large, included cape. Besides the well-executed figure design, he also comes with his sword, scabbard, shield, and the horn of Gondor for calling in reinforcements while protecting the Hobbits.
