One more #TolkienThursday post from the archives, we’ve got this ToyBiz Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring King Elendil!
While his sword and spirit rally the troops, King Elendil ultimately gets taken out along with Gil-galad by the Dark Lord Sauron at the Siege of Barad-dûr, in the War of the Last Alliance in the late Second Age.
This Elendil figure with “Sword-Slashing Action!” was released in the third wave of single-carded figures for Fellowship of the Ring. Thankfully, Gil-Galad would also be included in this wave, and Elendil’s son would also appear in the following wave to flesh out the big battle from the FOTR prologue on the toy shelf.
