Happy Monday! For this #MastersMonday, we’re fully into 1984. Here’s another figure from the vintage Mattel Masters of the Universe toy line—it’s Clawful!

Clawful was another figure I didn’t have as a kid, and honestly, I wasn’t as interested in playing with him from my friends’ collections. I knew the character somewhat from his appearances in several episodes of the Filmation He-Man animated series, but the animated version looked very different and didn’t make the connection to the action figure.

Clawful’s head design in the cartoon looked more like a dragon’s or a lizard’s, while this figure’s head reminded me more of a crab’s. Besides his standard claw hand (something the cartoon version had a pair of), he has an oversized grabbing hand, which at worst could hold his green Grayskull mace, and at best could pinch your friend’s finger.😄
