One more post from the archives on this #TolkienThursday. Tonight, we’ve got this ToyBiz Lord of the Rings Return of the King Prologue Bilbo!
This figure was included in the third wave of half-moon carded Return of the King figures. Unlike the Prologue Elven Warrior figures which appropriately came out with Fellowship of the Ring designs, it appears ToyBiz forgot about including this design at the time as the ROTK prologue focuses more on Smeagol and Deagol.
While this ‘younger’ Bilbo Baggins is definitely not Martin Freeman, he is definitely discovering the One Ring in Gollum’s cave. The unique thing about this figure is the ring sculpted into the palm of the hand.
