This Bilbo Baggins (that is still not Martin Freeman) also discovers the One Ring sculpted into his hand. While this translucent version allows you to see that detail in the sculpt, it ultimately doesn’t look as good as the painted version.
Nearly a decade later, when The Bridge Direct got the license to make figures for The Hobbit films, their line started with a translucent Bilbo (that was based on Martin Freeman), but even that version still didn’t look all that great sans paint.
