On this #WhateverWednesday post from the archives, we’re rolling with the Mattel “Matty Collector” Ghostbusters Walter Peck!
I was excited when Mattel released this figure because it was the first action figure of the character, almost 26 years after the movie came out, and the first one of William Atherton as Walter Peck. Diamond Select also released a 7-inch-scale Walter Peck for their Ghostbusters line, but I prefer this version.
The figure comes with a simple Ecto-Containment Unit, just like the one in the firehouse basement during Peck’s main scene. It would have been nice if it had lights and sounds, but that isn’t really possible for a pack-in accessory. Still, the Containment Unit looks good and has a working door so you can empty the included ghost trap.
