We’re back in town this #WhateverWednesday, and tonight we’re taking a look at the NECA Back to the Future Doc Brown ‘Hazmat Suit’!
“Good evening, I’m Doctor Emmett Brown. I’m standing in the parking lot of Twin Pines Mall. It’s Saturday morning, October 26, 1985, 1:18 a.m. and this is temporal experiment number one. C’mon, Einey, hey hey boy, get in there, that a boy, in you go, get down, that’s it.” – Doc Brown
In the film, Doc is ready to take his experiment to the next level, and puts his (and Marty’s) life on the line literally as he stands in front of the Delorean that is moving at nearly 90 miles per hour, counting on it to evaporate just before mowing them over (twice!) in the Twin Pines parking lot.
This ‘hazmat suit’ version of Doc perfectly captures the facial likeness of Christopher Lloyd in his accurately detailed suit. The figure comes with a clipboard, an extra set of arms (with gloved hands for handling plutonium), interchangeable heads so Doc can look proud of his latest invention or shocked when he is discovered by the Libyans who he pulled a fast one on, the time machine remote control, and a revolver for defending himself against the Libyans until Doc discovers he forgot to load the gun. 😛
We’re just 11 weeks away from the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future! I figure it’s worth jumping in the Delorean to revisit some great toys from the film.
