Kronnaw

Recommended music: Korn – Blind

Kicking off the weekend early this #FourHorsemenFriday, we’re taking a look at the Mythic Legions Kronnaw!

When checking his official Mythic Legions bio, you will find that Kronnaw the Destroyer results from an experiment that combined nontraditional science with resurrection magic. While his story is fleshed out a bit more, my head canon says this figure is New Adventures Trap Jaw!

The figure was included in the Wasteland wave of Mythic Legions and debuted at Power-Con 2019, the year before the general release/ the pre-orders finally shipping. Kronnaw was the Four Horsemen’s “unofficial” nod to Trap Jaw, in their ongoing line of Masters of the Universe tribute figures.

The name is derived from combining “Trap Jaw” and “Kronis,” a name which originated in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002) when Skeletor punched his henchman so hard in the face that it required a mechanical replacement for his displaced jawbone, and a rebranding of the villain to match.

Kronnaw comes with a good amount of weapons, including a dagger, a dwarf axe, a flail on a chain, and a long sword. He also comes with a horned helmet head, which I will likely never use on this body, as his pinkish crown and jaw adorning a bright green skull is such an excellent homage to the classic MOTU character, that you won’t even miss the gimmicky arm attachments.
