Lord Draguul

Dragging on this #FourHorsemenFriday, let’s take a look at the Mythic Legions Lord Draguul!

Draguul’s official Mythic Legions bio states that he was an ancient vampire who spent years conniving to gain a position of power for himself.  While I don’t usually go for any vampire figures, I had to make an exception for this guy. This is not surprising. This figure is entirely a tribute to Hordak, the Ruthless Leader of The Evil Horde!

The figure, like Dorina Onoris, was included in the Mythic Legions: All-Stars wave 3 and was meant to debut at Power-Con in Anaheim in 2020. The in-person convention was unfortunately canceled. Consequently, the Four Horsemen offered a limited allotment of exclusive Onoris and Draguul figures each day of the virtual con through their online store.

Draguul is the Four Horsemen’s “unofficial” nod to Hordak and is a part of their ongoing line of Masters of the Universe tribute figures. The name appears to be a combination of “dragon” and “ghoul,” which is a creative way to describe the appearance of the original MOTU character. This makes sense as the dark warlord Hordak never really had an alternate name besides when he was in disguise, outside of Masters of the Universe Classics, where his bio said his real name was Hec-Tor Kur.

He comes with an additional knight helmet head with a dragon on top, but I doubt many people use that versus the vampire head. The body and accessories are painted well, including a cape, a crossbow, a shield, and a skull-topped axe that is supposed to be a tribute to Imp, the shapeshifting spy and pet of Hordak.

If you see the Imp tribute in today’s picture, you might notice I’ve also included another (not so) hidden Loo-Kee in today’s picture.
