On this #SomethingElseSunday from the archives, we’re looking checking out the Mattel “Matty Collector” Ghostbusters Zuul “Gatekeeper of Gozer” (Dana)!
This was the first action figure of Sigourney Weaver’s memorable character, Dana Barrett, from the film, and a welcome addition to my collection. While Diamond Select and Hasbro may have had a more accurate actor likeness and costume colors, I appreciated this version, which is still the only one to come with interchangeable legs for sitting and standing poses, as well as this rooftop bench accessory.
The bench is nicely detailed, but is a bit underscaled to the point where Louis can’t really fit next to her without Dana’s feet hanging off, but looks great in the package when centered on the bench.
