Today, from the Bond on Vinyl archives, here’s a bonus little picture. I made it a couple of years back after completing all my Bond on Vinyl posts for the year.
When From Russia With Love was released in theaters in 1963, it started a tradition. This tradition continues 60 years later. It ended with the phrase “JAMES BOND WILL RETURN.” In this case, it was already known Bond would return the following year, “IN THE NEXT IAN FLEMING THRILLER “GOLDFINGER”.
In my case, no, I was not working on Goldfinger… but YES, I was already working on another full month of Bond on Vinyl content for 2024. I’d already added enough new pieces to the collection to pass the century mark and will once again attempt to cover EVERY era of the James Bond series through vinyl record releases, even as this format took a back seat to the compact disc from 1988 to 2020.
