For this final #FourHorsemenFriday post from the archives, we’re flying high with the Mythic Legions Eathyron!
Offered for preorder in late 2015, the Eathyron’s Dozen wave was primarily based on the Gothitropolis bird figures featured in Four Horsemen Studios’ first Kickstarter campaign, which predated the Mythic Legions line. This assortment included repainted versions of previously released figures and introduced characters with entirely new head sculpts. The wave was rebranded under the Mythic Legions banner and included weapons from the Mythic Legions 1.0 release.
This wave also brought in Eathyron, an essential character in the Mythic Legions story. Together with warriors such as Leodysseus, Bassylia, and Xylona, the Battle God Eathyron fought evil in ancient Mythoss. Later, these armies joined forces to create the Order of Eathyron.
Equipped with the oversized Heavensbrand sword, this eagle action figure features an impressive golden wingspan rarely seen in depictions of deities. The substantial shelf space required to display the entire collection of bird figures influenced my decision not to acquire the full wave. However, I am pleased to have added this figure to my collection and appreciate The Four Horsemen’s inclusion of these unique characters in the regular Mythic Legions lineup.
