Continuing the countdown of my top 10 action figure releases of 2025, number 4 is the Nacelle Toys C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa Sheriff Terrorbull!
This year, I’m highlighting a different toy company each day in my top 10 list. I’ve enjoyed a lot of the Nacelle Company’s TV shows, like Icons Unearthed, The Movies That Made Us, and The Toys That Made Us, but I haven’t really tried much from Nacelle Toys yet. I like that they’re bringing back retro properties like Biker Mice from Mars, The Great Garloo, Sectaurs, and Star Trek, but none of these made me reach for my wallet faster than the Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa!
The original animated series aired for two seasons from 1992 to 1993, and Hasbro released a short-lived toy line with designs similar to Playmates Toys’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures. At home, we’ve also had fun playing the C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa side-scrolling arcade game. Sadly, the franchise mostly ended in the 1990s when the cartoon was cancelled on ABC, mainly because Disney bought the network in 1994.
Luckily, the Nacelle Company bought the rights to the series in 2023. They’ve already released a comic book, this first wave of action figures, and plan to launch a new animated series next year. When I saw the finished figures, I knew I had to add them to my collection. They have great paint, lots of accessories, and 20+ points of articulation. I thought Marshal Moo Montana would be my favorite, but after getting the big, beefy Sheriff Terrorbull in hand, he edged out the rest. I’ll share a longer review of these last-minute additions soon!
