Today, we’ve got the penultimate pick on my list of the top 10 action figure releases of 2025. Coming in at #2 is the Jaws 50th Anniversary Ultimate Sam Quint!

This year, I’m highlighting a different toy company each day in my top 10 list. NECA’s Ultimates line really impressed me in 2025. The price of their 7-inch figures continues to rise, but so does the quality and variety of characters. It took a bit longer than I expected to get them, and I was sure Sesame Street’s Bert, Count von Count, and Ernie would be in my top ten, but I’ll have to give them all honorable mention.

When NECA announced pre-orders for the Jaws 50th Anniversary Collection at the New York Toy Fair in March, I was really hoping we’d have these toys in hand by the actual film anniversary on June 20. Unfortunately, they were bumped until later in the year, but each piece is even more fantastic in hand than I’d imagined. “Bruce,” the shark comes with a modern update of The Game of Jaws, which is also turning 50. The Matt Hooper and Sam Quint figures look just like Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw from the 1974 film set. I’ll definitely be doing longer reviews of all these Jaws releases in the next month or so.

In the meantime, honorable mention to Bruce and Hooper as well, since the Quint figure is extra impressive. I hope you enjoy this mashup poster I imagined for a film that will never happen. 😄
