The Legendary Barabarian

“There can be only one.”

Today, I present the top selection from my list of the ten best action figure releases of 2025. Leading the list is the Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions The Legendary Barbarian!

This year, I’ve highlighted a different toy company each day in my top 10 list. The Four Horsemen released several waves of action figures in 2025, so my toy room is chockablock with excellent products from them. Besides getting the Mythic Legions Necronominus and All-Stars 6 waves, I picked up the Graveyard Skeletons, and finally tried out Cosmic Legions for the first time.

When The Four Horsemen announced that this figure would be exclusive to ZoloCon and other conventions, I hoped it would become available on their website. It did, albeit briefly, at the end of the year. I appreciated the original Barbarian Builder from 2015, so with the tenth anniversary of the Mythic Legions line, I was ready for something similar. This new release lets you really customize his look. The stock head has a beard and helmet, but that head is destined to stay on another figure, as I’ll always be using this one. In addition to the dark hair pictured here, you also get blonde and brown hair pieces to create something that looks more like He-Man or Conan. He also comes with shackles and some weapons, but I’ll cover those in a future review.

Although the Mythic Legions line is distinct from Frank Frazetta’s design for Conan, I tried to channel that Cimmerian look for my picture here.

In the meantime, honorable mention to Belualyth, Bishop, Clavian (All Stars), Conabus, Deacon, Graveyard Skeletons, Maxillius the Harvest, Necronominus, OPOR-A-TIV83, Sir Enoch, Sir Ignatius (All Stars), Skalli Bonesplitter, Skeleton Raider, Thorasis the First Risen

I’ll have additional website news, honorable mentions, and a recap for my top 10 list soon!
