Sheriff Terrorbull

Howdy toy fans! This #WhateverWednesday, let’s take a look at the Nacelle Toys C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa Sheriff Terrorbull!

Sheriff Terrorbull, from the Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa, is the main troublemaker in the series and shows what happens when someone on the inside turns against the people. As Mayor Bulloney’s chosen enforcer, he uses his power to keep the townsfolk down instead of protecting them. His secret life as a masked outlaw lets the show use classic pulp-fiction themes, adding mystery and giving the C.O.W.-Boys a tough opponent. While Moo follows the “Code of the West,” Terrorbull twists that code, proving that just having a badge doesn’t make someone honorable.

In the classic 1992 Konami arcade game, Sheriff Terrorbull serves as the boss at the end of Stage 1. During the fight, he alternates between his corrupt sheriff identity and his outlaw persona, the Masked Bull. As the first boss,  he serves as a “damage sponge” with high health but relatively slow, telegraphed movements.

After the game and the series cancellation, the character was on ice until the Nacelle Company bought the rights in 2023. They have already released a comic book and the first set of action figures featuring Terrorbull, with plans for a new animated series by next year.

This big, beefy release was #4 on my top action figures 2025 list, arriving in bright packaging with a detailed paint job and more than 20 points of articulation. It includes an extra head to alternate between smiling and scowling expressions, two sets of hands, his cowboy hat, and fun accessories like handcuffs, two pistols with smoke effects, two pistol whip effects, a rifle, a stick of dynamite, and an oversized mug of sarsaparilla. Overall, it’s an excellent figure and a fun tribute to early 1990s animation.
