From the Archives: Burne

Recommended music: Ellie Goulding – Burn

Back again for #TurtleTuesday from the archives, we’ve got the NECA Burne!

This Burne figure comes with some fun accessories based on various episodes of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, including the head seen here, where he is smugly presiding over the Channel 6 newsroom, and not having an outburst about turtles in the same vein as J. Jonah Jameson would about Spider-Man.

He also came with a head bearing a more outraged expression, alternate hands, a phone, and a framed girlfriend picture for his desk, a tiny mutant turtle version of himself, and a bowl of turtle soup.

From the Archives: April O’Neil (1990 film) 2

Recommended music: The Ventures – The House of The Rising Sun

For this #TurtleTuesday from the archives, we’ve got this NECA April O’Neil!

This version of April is also based on Judith Hoag in the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. With the month of April winding down, I figured it would be a good time to share this version from the middle act of the film at April’s family’s farmhouse. This version arrived in a 2-pack with Casey Jones and came complete with her tiny turtle sketches and pencil accessories.

Leonardo (1990 film)

Recommended music: Soundgarden – Spoonman

Kicking off this #TurtleTuesday, we’ve got this NECA Leonardo!

This version of Leo is based on his appearance in the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. Being my favorite turtle in my favorite turtle production, picking up this guy was a no-brainer. The likeness is spot-on for the 1/12 scale, and NECA did a great job with the paint job.

Leatherhead (Turtles in Time)

Recommended music: Dark Hunter · Murilord · Izumi Mutsuhiko – Bury My Shell at Wounded Knee

All aboard the train, Turtle fans! It’s #TurtleTuesday, and today, we’re looking at the NECA: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leatherhead!

This Leatherhead figure is stylized with some pixels based on his appearance in the ‘Turtles in Time’ video game. It’s a great-looking figure with nice bright colors. He almost looks friendly compared to the intimidating boss you encounter on the train level of the video game.😁👍

From the Archives: Bebop (in pre-mutated human form)

Recommended music: The Jackals -Mohawk Twist

It’s #TurtleTuesday again, and today from the archives we’ve got this NECA Bebop!

This version of Bebop in his pre-mutated human form comes with some simple, yet neat street punk accessories. He also looks like he jumped right out of the pilot episode of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, which is perfect.

From the Archives: Mutant Baxter Stockman (Cartoon)

Recommended music: Lenny Kravitz – Fly Away

Back again for #TurtleTuesday, we’ve got this NECA Baxter Stockman!

This NECA Baxter figure is based on his mutated bug form from the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. While the figure alone already looks cooler than the vintage release to me, he came with a few episode-specific accessories including a Gerbil Michelangelo, a sentient computer, a Shredder fly, a trans-mutation gun, and three sets of hand to hold this random stuff.

This version of Raph is based on the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. He’s giving you a heads-up that he carries a sai in case you step out of line.
