Recommended music: AC/DC – T.N.T.
It’s #SomethingElseSunday, and since my action figures are still packed and waiting for a new display, I’ll have to dig into the archives and revisit some old toys for now.
The first time I wrote about the Palisades Toys Crazy Harry action figure on the blog, I couldn’t find a good song to go with him, so I just shared a couple of sketches from The Muppet Show. Now, I’ve finally found a song that fits this Muppet really well.
“TNT” by AC/DC is a perfect match for Crazy Harry because the toy stands out for its explosive accessories. Palisades did a great job with the extras in their Muppet Show line, which is why I’m still talking about it 25 years later, and Crazy Harry was no different. He came with his signature plunger detonator box, sticks of dynamite, and bomb props, so pyrotechnics are really his thing. I added the cannon and explosion from other toy lines to finish my photo, and they fit perfectly with the Palisades figures. I’m still really happy with how the picture turned out.
The driving rhythm of AC/DC’s anthem and the shouted line “I’m T.N.T., I’m dynamite” really match Crazy Harry’s wild personality, his crazy laugh, and his love for blowing things up. When I display the figure with the plunger pushed down, it captures the same chaotic energy from his classic TV sketches, where his explosions sometimes left the Muppet theater in ruins.
