Baseball is back on my mind today, and we’re opening an All-Star Game Mega Box of Topps 2026 Series 2 Baseball cards!
That’s right, no action figures today as my collection is packed away, waiting for a new spot to display. So, when the toys are away, the cards come out to play. 😄👍
Released the week before this month’s big game, the 2026 Topps Series 2 Baseball All-Star Game Mega Box is a retail release focused on the Midsummer Classic alongside the core 350-card Series 2 set. Each box contains 14 packs of 14 cards each, totaling 196 cards. The highlight is the exclusive All-Star Game foil parallel, featuring a repeating event logo pattern across the card’s background.
Odds are you’ll pull four to five exclusive base parallels per box, about 1 in every 3 packs. These range from unnumbered base foils to numbered tiers from Gold out of 2026 all the way down to Platinum one-of-one cards. The event treatment also applies to retro insert sets like 1991 Topps and 1991 Topps All-Star Baseball at a rate of 1 in 5 packs.
These boxes round out their content with standard Series 2 inserts like Stars of MLB, Crooked Numbers, and Glove Work, plus chances at autographed cards and patch relics.
While I had low expectations for the cards compared to the Jumbo Hobby Box, I also wanted to pull many base cards we were still missing, like Munetaka Murakami and other key rookies debuting in the set.
Today, I’m sharing a video I made with my daughter, with my wife joining the fun as we ripped a box of baseball cards together. We even created a unique All-Star Game contest and had a great time opening them as a family!
I’ll be back tomorrow with something Topps, but not baseball. 😄
