Happy #MastersMonday, He-Fans and She-Ravers! Although 99% of my Masters of the Universe collection is still packed away for a new display, something new will come into play. This week, we’re looking at the Golden Link Inc. Masters of the Universe: Skeletor Pint Glass!
This 16 oz. glass was a theater exclusive starting in May to promote the new Masters of the Universe movie. The retro artwork shows Skeletor in a cartoony style, with details like the ruby red gem on his chest harness standing out more than in the live-action version. The Teeny Little Super Guy from Sesame Street faced some challenges back in the day, but I doubt he ever came across anything this menacing in the cupboard.
The back of the glass features more artwork, including the new movie logo and Skeletor’s Havoc Staff from the film. The updated design for Skeletor’s signature weapon looked powerful, but still felt familiar to me in the movie.
Cheers and good journey! – DM
