Recommended music: A Tribe Called Quest – Scenario
It’s another #TurtleTuesday, and since my action figures are still packed, waiting for a new display, archive posts will come into play. After 1100+ posts on the blog, we’ll keep revisiting some old toys for now.
The first time I posted about the NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo figure from the first live-action TMNT film, I chose a Soundgarden song just because it was stuck in my head. Honestly, it had nothing to do with Leonardo—I just happen to like Soundgarden. 😄
“Scenario” by A Tribe Called Quest is a much better match for the 1990 Movie Leonardo figure. It really captures the vibe of New York City in the early 1990s. “Scenario” also fits Leonardo’s role as his team’s leader. The song is known for how the rappers pass the mic smoothly and work together in sync. That teamwork is a lot like how Leonardo leads his brothers in battle, keeping everyone focused as they fight the Foot Clan.
