Recommended music: Pantera – Walk
It’s #TolkienThursday, and since my action figures are still packed away, awaiting a new display, I’ll pull from the archive yet again today.
When I first wrote about this Ugluk figure on the blog, I paired it with a fitting track from Howard Shore’s Complete Recordings of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Now, I think I’ve found a more modern option that could work too.
“Walk” by Pantera is a great musical match for the Toy Biz Uglúk action figure, blending heavy metal energy with early-2000s toy nostalgia. Dimebag Darrell’s famous riff has a slow, steady stomp that feels like an armored Uruk-hai captain leading his scouts across Rohan.
The song brings out the heavy, mechanical feel of Isengard’s war machine without using Howard Shore’s film score. The song’s aggressive style matches Uglúk’s tough leadership and his fights with Grishnákh and the Mordor orcs.
