Happy #MastersMonday, He-Fans and She-Ravers! Although 99% of my Masters of the Universe collection is still packed away, waiting for a new display, something new will come into play. This week, we’re looking at the Golden Link Inc. Masters of the Universe: Man-At-Arms Pint Glass!
This 16 oz. glass was only available in theaters starting in May to promote the new Masters of the Universe movie. The retro artwork features Duncan from the film, drawn as a cartoon version of actor Idris Elba. It did occur to me, but I forgot to include this point with my character pint glass blog posts over the past two weeks, that I may have an affinity for these simple character glasses because of the Teeny Little Super Guy animated shorts on Sesame Street during my childhood.
On the back of the glass, more artwork shows the new movie logo and Man-At-Arms’ mace from the film. The weapon had a flashy, Transformers-style animation when it first appeared in the movie, but the 2D version here looks very familiar.
Cheers and good journey! – DM
